Spice: Spice’s two clothes shops (the other one is in Primrose Hill) started life selling plimsolls in Camden Market and now sell beautifully made heels and stylish flats. Famous brands sit alongside their own label, Spice by C.Doux, whose seasonal collections are gorgeous.

Pipa: Bharva, the woman behind Pipa, believes that, while fashion is changeable, style is eternal. Here you’ll find flattering, understated and wearable clothes for around the £100 mark, sales to die for and investment jeans you’ll never want to take off!

East London

Article: The shop incarnation of fashion website Urban Excess, Article sells a mix of independent and well-known labels. Selling predominantly male apparel, there’s something for every price range and it’s a great place to pick up a quick wardrobe update.

House of Vintage: A jewel in London’s vintage scene crown, House of Vintage was started up in Toronto, Canada and brings top quality items, hand-selected by owner Dennis Adamidis. Rare and unique pieces from the 1930s to 1960s are a speciality.

South London

Bias: This wonderful clothing boutique for both men and women has only been open for a year but already has a bit of a cult following. Every label is ethical and UK based, making the slightly higher prices for the unique pieces owner Sally sells more than worth it.

Tique Booty: Opened early last year by old school friends Dom and Rich, Tique Booty is the place to go to find seriously special vintage pieces. Each hand-written label shows these two guys really know their stuff. Plus, with 20% off for TSL readers, you can’t go wrong.

West London

The Cross: The Cross’ ethos is all about finding incredible designers that have slipped under the radar. Their one-off pieces, accessories and bags may be boutique prices, but the sample sales are different. Held just twice a year, they are an amazing place to get one-of-a-kind items for an absolute steal.

Deuxieme: Deuxieme is an independent women’s boutique with a difference. Collecting pre-loved designer pieces, they sell them on for a fraction of the retail price and hand half of the profits back to the original owner. A paradise for fashionistas, it’s a great place to find a designer bargain.

Central London

Foxhall London: The answer to every 20 something man’s clothing dilemmas, Foxhall offers well-curated, interesting and professional clothes with a sharp, stylish edge. Here you can find all your wardrobe staples with quirky design extras that elevate the ordinary into something special.
